Georgian Mahogany Tea Caddy circa 1790

George III Inlaid Mahogany Oval Tea Caddy, circa 1790–1800. A charming late 18th-century George III oval tea caddy, finely veneered in richly coloured mahogany and decorated with delicate contrasting marquetry. The elliptical body is particularly attractive, the front centred by a ribbon-tied floral spray, with finely inlaid stems, leaves and flowers arranged around the original key escutcheon.
