Sheraton Revival Satinwood Table circa 1910
Sheraton Revival Inlaid Satinwood Kidney-Shaped Occasional Table, c.1900–1910. The restrained decoration and delicate proportions are typical of Sheraton style fashionable during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. The shaped top is particularly attractive, veneered in quartered to create a geometric radiating pattern, enclosed by fine line inlay and a narrow contrasting crossbanded border. The table is raised on four exceptionally slender square tapering legs, giving it a light and refined appearance, and is united by a matching kidney-shaped undertier with further line inlay.
