Victorian oak cricket table circa 1900

Victorian Oak Cricket Table circa 1900. The table has a substantial circular plank top displaying attractive grain, colour variation and a wonderfully worn surface developed through years of use. The top is raised on three square-section oak legs making it very stable on uneven floorsThe straightforward joinery, natural materials and minimal applied decoration are all consistent with the movement’s emphasis on honest craftsmanship. The considerable surface wear, old marks and variations in colour give the table a strong, untouched country-house appearance rather than a heavily restored finish.
