Victorian wrought iron jardiniere

Late Victorian Wrought-Iron Wirework Jardinière Stand of unusually tall and sculptural form circa 1890. The circular upper basket is elaborately worked with repeating C-scrolls and openwork arabesques, arranged around a deep central aperture intended to accommodate a jardinière or planted pot. Beneath is a smaller tier of matching scrollwork, supported on a tall open cylindrical column composed of slender vertical iron rods.
