Vintage Swedish Blown Glass Tankard

“Bengt Orup for Johansfors ‘Oxygene’ Green Bubble Glass Tankard, Sweden, c.1960s. A striking mid-century Swedish art-glass tankard, very likely from the ‘Oxygene’ series designed by Bengt Orup for Johansfors Glasbruk. The cylindrical body is hand-blown in graduated emerald-green glass, becoming richer towards the heavy base, with numerous deliberately enclosed air bubbles giving the piece its characteristic seeded appearance. A substantial applied loop handle completes the simple Scandinavian Modern form.
