Large French Bistro Mirror

Large 19th century French Bistro Mirror. The gently stepped and reeded surround has an understated architectural quality, while the warm, naturally aged brass surface retains attractive variations in colour, minor dents and wear acquired over time. The large mirror plate displays pronounced foxing and deterioration to the silvering, particularly around the upper and lower edges. This gives the piece considerable decorative character while leaving the central area largely practical for everyday use.
